EBV (VCA) IgG
The Epstein–Barr virus viral-capsid antigen (EBV-VCA) is the viral protein that forms the viral capsid of the Epstein–Barr virus. It is the antigen targeted by anti-VCA antibodies. Such antibodies can be used in serology to diagnose infectious mononucleosis. Elevated Anti-VCA IgG indicates prior infection.
Specimen: 0.2 ml Serum
Reference Values:
Negative: <0.8
Equivocal: 0.8-1.2
Positive: >1.2
Method: ELISA
Loinc: 5158-1
EBV (VCA) IgM
The Epstein–Barr virus viral-capsid antigen (EBV-VCA) is the viral protein that forms the viral capsid of the Epstein–Barr virus. It is the antigen targeted by anti-VCA antibodies. Such antibodies can be used in serology to diagnose infectious mononucleosis. Elevated Anti-VCA IgM indicates acute infection.
Specimen: 0.2 ml Serum
Reference Values:
Negative: <0.8
Equivocal: 0.8-1.2
Positive: >1.2
Method: ELISA

Echinococcus IgG
Echinococcus is an infection caused by the echinococcus multilocularis worm, which is a parasitic tapeworm. The infection is rare in the United States. It occurs more often in the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and the Mediterranean. Echinococcus IgG = Past Infection
Specimen: Serum

Negative: <8 U/ml
Equivocal: 8-12 U/ml
Positive: >1.0 U/ml
Method: CLIA

Echinococcus IgM
Echinococcus is an infection caused by the echinococcus multilocularis worm, which is a parasitic tapeworm. The infection is rare in the United States. It occurs more often in the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and the Mediterranean. Echinococcus IgM = Acute Infection
Specimen: Serum

Echovirus IgG
Enteric cytopathic human orphan (ECHO) viruses are a group of viruses that lead to gastrointestinal infection and skin rashes. Echovirus IgG = Past Infection
Specimen: Serum
Reference Values: Negative (Positive = Past Infection)
Method: IFA

Echovirus IgM
Enteric cytopathic human orphan (ECHO) viruses are a group of viruses that lead to gastrointestinal infection and skin rashes. Echovirus IgM = Acute Infection
Specimen: Serum
Reference Values: Negative
Method: IFA
Loinc: 51841-5
Endomysial IgA Antibodies
Anti-endomysial antibodies (EMA) are present in celiac disease. They do not cause any direct symptoms to muscles, but detection of EMA is useful in the diagnosis of the disease. Endomysial IgA = Acute Infection
Specimen: Serum
Reference Values: Negative
Method: IFA
Loinc: 27038-9
Endomysial IgG Antibodies
Anti-endomysial antibodies (EMA) are present in celiac disease. They do not cause any direct symptoms to muscles, but detection of EMA is useful in the diagnosis of the disease. Endomysial IgG = Past Infection
Specimen: Serum
Reference Values: Negative
Method: IFA

Erythropoietin (EPO)
Erythropoietin, also known as EPO, is a glycoprotein hormone that controls erythropoiesis, or red blood cell production. It is a cytokine (protein signaling molecule) for erythrocyte (red blood cell) precursors in the bone marrow.
Specimen: 0.2 ml Serum
Reference Values:
Females: 3.7-19.4 mU/ml
Males: 2.6-34.0 mU/ml
Method:

ESR (Erythrocyte Send. Rate)
The erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), also called a sedimentation rate or Westergren ESR, is the rate at which red blood cells sediment in a period of one hour. It is a common hematology test, and is a non-specific measure of inflammation.
Specimen: Sodium Citrate
Reference Values:
Females: 0-20 mm/hour
Males: 0-15 mm/hour
Method: Westergren
Loinc: 4537-7
Estradiol
It is a type of estrogen hormone. It is named for and is important in the regulation of the estrous and menstrual female reproductive cycles. Estradiol is essential for the development and maintenance of female reproductive tissues but it also has important effects in many other tissues including bone.
Specimen: Serum
Reference Values:
Follicular Phase: 26.6-161 pg/ml
